Community Awareness and Advocacy

To address the root causes of child abandonment and teenage pregnancy, JIRA Angels Network engages communities through education, dialogue, and advocacy.

Activities Include:

  • Awareness Campaigns:
    Community outreach using radio, church programs, community meetings, and school visits to address stigma and misinformation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Collaboration with local leaders, schools, churches, and health workers to build support systems for vulnerable girls and babies.
  • Public Education Materials:
    Development of brochures, posters, and audio-visual content focusing on child rights, the impact of abandonment, and the value of education for girls.
  • Advocacy Events:
    Hosting forums and community dialogues to influence policy and community norms around child protection and adolescent reproductive health.
